FLESH is my life's thesis. I have always been fascinated with anatomy and physiology, passively studying it most of my life. My focus is on all the parts and pieces of a woman's body. None of it should be hidden away or shamed but displayed as a centerpiece the vagina, breast, hips, and curves we all desire to worship. The human body both in sickness and in health is fascinating yet we (society) fear our mortality so much we often need to distance ourselves aesthetically from those who may carry its weight. I can see the delicate dance we do with the minutes we have between life and death. My work shows the beauty in the dangerous cells of diseases we fear and the parts and pieces of a woman's body often shamed, neglected, or forgotten by our healthcare system and society.
